DECISIONS OF A RREC BOARD MEETING HELD AT THE HUNT HOUSE, PAULERSPURY ON 07.10.2017

5/ Identified discussion topics
5a/ Club Ethos and the RREC in 2020:

In addition to the Mission Statement defined on 6th June 2016, the Board agreed on the following values and short term target.

We are the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club, meaning that “Enthusiasm” is the one over-arching VALUE driving everything we do. We are also looking after The Best Car in the World. The notion of “Best” can be seen as a VALUE but it is also a MISSION in itself; everything we do needs to be just a bit better than the norm or the expected standards. “Enthusiasm” and “Best” are two notions creating a challenging dynamic.

The short term your TARGET remains to achieve on average a younger demographic. We are no longer pursuing membership growth for the sake of it; that can come later.

5b/ Bulletin proposal
A proposal was put to the Board which would see a newly appointed Publications Development Manager (PDM) to be in place for producing the May/June Bulletin, meaning that this person would need to be confirmed by the Board at its February meeting so that he/she would be in position by latest 1
st April.

Full Board approval was given to move forward with this motion; KD and AR participating to the Meeting by phone conferencing for the duration of the voting.

Full Board approval was given for the Bulletin style and structure to remain until a new PDM is in place.

5c/ Management Accounts
Full Board approval was given to appoint a second part-time accounts person to top-up
Tracey’s part-time hours along with a salary adjustment commensurate with the additional workload.

With TW’s workload still at the forefront KB suggested and full Board approval was given, to task Haines Watts with the payroll responsibility for 6 months.

5d/ RREC representation on SHRMF Board
The Board were all in agreement to support the re-election of Ian Hick, John Beecroft and Chris Ball to the SHRMF Board.
